This is the material that has made Afghan Tourmaline the benchmark in Tourmaline perfection! This color is for Afghan Tourmaline what Velvet Blue is for Kashmiri Sapphire! It doesn't get ANY better than this. These are all lovely Nodules of the most amazing Neon colors including Turquoise and Neon Bluish Green. The color is so close to Paraiba it is amazing. Every one of these is  an ideally shaped nodule with one exception being a little off. This is the material that runs $500+ per carat once cut and is practically impossible to get your hands on in the rough. These stones look to be Turquoise down the AB axis and a Neon Bluish Green to Neon Green down the C axis with the largest stone being a solid Electric Turquoise down both Axis.

This is TOP TOP faceting grade material with every stone capable of producing an eye-clean or better gem in a large size. We believe every stone in here should cut 10x clean with a little work but say eye-clean to be on the safe side. The largest stone in here looks like it should cut around 12-13 carats and should produce an Electric Turquoise color. This lot is not for the amateur and this is PREMIUM PREMIUM ROUGH! If you are interested in similar colored material in smaller sizes there are several lots up which were initially one large lot and broken up into more uniform size to fit client needs better. Please note that the pictures really don't do the material justice. This stuff has to be seen to be fully appreciated.

1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
