Lovely lot of Aqua Blue to an almost Electric Indigo Blue Kyanite from Tanzania. Overall this material is moderately to heavily included but there is plenty of Cab and Specimen grade material in here. Facet grade material is limited and this is being sold as strictly cab and specimen grade rough; however, we have spotted some really love stones in here that are VERY gemmy.  I would conservatively estimate that roughly 5%+ of the material is facet grade. Kyanite is usually very slightly included at best and this is no exception. Most stones are fairly slender elongated crystal sections and the material is pretty uniform in shape. Some of the stones do have very distinct color banding as is common in Kyanite. We don't anticipate getting any more of this grade material in the near future and are just liquidating our current stock so don't miss out on this bargain.

1. Kyanite is a Sky-blue to Colorless mineral that occurs in thin-bladed crystals and crystalline aggregates. The material can occur in a variety of colors; however, most material tends to be a bluish shade and/or a greenish blue shade. Cleavage seems very distinct with some material looking kind of like mica. This looks like it is another one of those Kunzite kind of stones to cut so we don't advise this for the amateur.
