This is a super lot of a NEW FIND of Spessartite and/or Hessonite Garnet coming from Afghanistan. This lot is NOT from our Mine Claims and was purchased in the open market in Peshawar, Pakistan. This material is very clean and some of the best material we have seen coming from this area. The color of this material is just phenomenal and it is mostly a nice Tangerine color with some reddish flashes; however, there are also quite a few Fire Oranges in here and an occasional Cherry Red! Please be aware that this rough is a mixture of Spessartite and/or Hessonite (Possibly other Garnets as well) which are generally included species of Garnet and hence, it is extremely difficult to acquire eye-clean to flawless rough in either species. This rough is by far the cleanest and largest rough to come across our desk and that is the reason it was picked up. It was picked up at a steal and it is being sold at a steal!

Most of this material WILL have at least minor inclusions. This should NOT significantly impact the cleaner finished stones. We have rough graded this material as being 50%+ facet grade. This is a rough conservative estimate and includes both low and high end facet rough. Most worthwhile stones fall between 5 and 30+ carats with a lot of killer material in this lot that need to be clipped and/or sawed out. We will NOT be getting any more of this material as it is NOT from our mines and was a one shot deal.  Don't miss picking this up at this price!
