The proportions and size on this Tourmaline are just phenomenal. It is sad that it is not a flawless stone; however, there is some good news. The stone is extremely clean and gemmy. One section equal to about 50% of the weight of the rough looks practically eye-clean and should yield an eye-clean or better stone with a little planning.

The remaining 50% of the stone looks about 30% clean as well in another single solid section and should yield an eye-clean or better stone with a little planning. The remaining 20% of the stone unfortunately does have some inclusions that will probably show up in the third faceted stone no matter what you do. You may want to divide that piece up further to try to get a clean stone; however, we have priced this on the the largest section alone and you should purchase it accordingly.

Rough this size just is not available these days and we probably would have a difficult time trying to purchase this caliber material in Africa at this price at present. Just look at that size and shape and what others are asking for it! This is our largest cleanest Rubellite and even the sawed pieces will be chunky and support high yield!
