This was sold to us as part of a parcel of unidentified rough. Analysis of one stone in the parcel lead us to believe that all the material was Sphene; however, the color on this is unusual for Sphene we have encountered in the past. The locality of this material is unknown though it is likely of African origin. This stone does have very minor inclusions on the periphery that should easily facet out with normal faceting.
