New Find of an Incredible Yellowish Green Diopside from Badakshan, Afghanistan. There is a VERY limited find of this coming from Afghanistan from time to time and we had the find published in a 2006 issue of GIA's Gems & Gemology. This is the only complete crystal we have been able to obtain since the find was made.

This is actually a crystal cluster with little if any contact. The termination on the material is the best for the deposit though it is not razor sharp. The gem rough in here alone is probably worth the price; however, this is being sold as a Crystal. It is the only one we have and would go great with a piece of facet rough or a cut stone!
