DESCRIPTION:

This is a Ghani SPECIAL! We have listed several lots up on our site that are the property of Mr. Hazrat Ghani. Hazrat Ghani has been supplying some of the largest Tourmaline dealers in the world with their rough from Afghanistan for a very long time and he is known out here in Pakistan as one of the Tourmaline Kingpins. Ghani's specialty is being able to acquire the rare lovely Tourmaline colors that don't ever enter the rough markets outside of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

These are awesome almost Neon Blue to Neon Green Afghan Tourmaline Crystal Sections!!! We are confident these will make any Tourmaline lover's heart just MELT!!! This lot is really indicative of some of the top quality Afghanistan has to offer in Tourmaline and the lot is roughly 75% TOP faceting grade material. One stone is practically eye-clean and runs from a Neon Green to an almost Neon Blue while the other stone is roughly 50% eye-clean with the clean section being an almost Neon Blue with a slight Greenish overcast. You should easily be able to take out two large Eye-Clean or better stones from this rough with a little effort. These pieces are nice crystal sections capable of giving above average yield and the price on this just doesn't get any better so don't miss the opportunity to pick this up!!!

COOL FACTS:
  1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

  2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
