Hazrat Ghani has been supplying some of the largest Tourmaline dealers in the world with their rough from Afghanistan for a very long time and he is known out here in Pakistan as one of the Tourmaline Kingpins. Ghani's specialty is being able to acquire the rare lovely Tourmaline colors that don't ever enter the rough markets outside of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

THIS IS A SUPER HUGE INSANE MINTY BLUISH GREEN TO AN ALMOST SEA-FOAM TOURMALINE NODULE!!! It doesn't get any better than this folks. This is one of the best pieces we have seen in the local market in years and we are confident this will make any Tourmaline lover's heart just MELT!!! Please note that Tourmaline RARELY every reaches this size and clarity in Afghanistan and when it does it doesn't' last long in the market out here.  This entire pieces is TOP TOP facet grade. There is one inclusion that will force you to take off one end of the stone; however, the body of the larger piece should be around 24 grams or so and should cut eye-clean or better with your eyes closed! The smaller piece that will also produce an eye-clean stone. Since this is a Nodule we expect HIGH weight return in the finished product so I would advise grabbing this stone as quick as you can! The price on this just doesn't get any better so don't miss the opportunity to pick this up at a steal!!!
COOL FACTS:

  1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

  2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
