DESCRIPTION: |
Large lot of Chunky Amethyst crystals and crystal sections from a fairly new deposit in Ghazni, Afghanistan. This is a mix of Facet and Cab grade rough with roughly 50%+ of the lot running medium to high facet grade. Afghan Amethyst is not known to be the darkest material available; however, like most Afghan gemstones, the Amethyst from the region has pronounced luster. There is a very limited amount of this coming from the region and we were lucky to get this parcel in. The parcel is one of the few we decided to put up on our site because of the affordable pricing.Afghan Amethyst is a rarity and there really isn't much of this left in the market as the deposit is almost totally worked out. Afghan Amethyst is generally light in color; however, the material cuts very vibrant stones overall. This is a give-away at the price and well worth picking up! |
