Lot of Amethyst from a fairly new deposit in Ghazni, Afghanistan. This is mostly Cabbing & Carving Grade material; however, there is a bit of facet rough in here. Afghan Amethyst is a rarity and there really isn't much of this left in the market as the deposit is almost totally worked out. Afghan Amethyst is generally light in color; however, the material cuts very vibrant stones overall. This is a give-away at the price as it was left over at our office and we are just liquidating things before our departure. |
