Awesome lot of Pastel Pink to Purplish Pink Apatite Facet & Cab Rough. This material is probably of Afghani origin though it may be of Pakistani origin. Both countries are known to produce Apatite and local sellers don't pay particular attention to localities for such oddities as this lot. Apatite from this region is rarely seen in facet grade and when this lot came across us I knew we had to offer it to our clients to see what interest it generated. The lot overall is roughly 50%+ facet grade and has some very clean pieces that will cut eye clean or better; however, most stones are very slightly to moderately included and will need to be cobbed and/or sawed for faceting. Many of the stones do have eye-clean sections and we're confident that you will get a few rare finished gems from this lot that will be eye-clean or better. Please note that we don't anticipate acquiring any more of this material as we haven't seen any more in the market and if you are interested in this lot you should pick it up quick. I don't think anyone can do better on the price for this material!

1. Both Afghanistan & Pakistan are known to produce Apatite Crystals that range from an almost White color to a deep Lavender color; however, rarely are these crystals facet grade. The Apatite crystals are highly sought-after by mineral collectors the world over. We seldom see Apatite that is clean enough to facet come from this region.
