DESCRIPTION:

Spectacular lot of Afghan Tourmaline running from a Turquoise and Neon Blue to a Sapphire Blue. Most of these are a SUPER lovely Turquoise to Neon Blue and almost every stone is a chunky crystal section (Many of the stones in here are practically preformed because of the crystal structure of Tourmaline). Please note that most of the stones in this lot will cut eye-clean or better with the bulk being able to facet 10x clean.

This is the material that you see retailing for $12.00+ per carat! This is TOP TOP faceting grade material having almost every bad stone picked out and there are quite a few killer pieces in here. We are confident you will get 1+ carat gems from practically every stone in here with a little work. Practically every stone in the lot is a nice and chunky crystal section capable of giving above average yield. This is one of the best colored lots we currently have up and it is one of our best deals likely to go quick so don't pass this by!

COOL FACTS:
  1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

  2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
