DESCRIPTION:

Awesome lot of Minty Sea-Foam Green to Pastel Pink Afghan Tourmaline Cabbing Rough. This material has some of the most breathtaking pastel colors available and the material is very similar in color and appearance to the Pastel Tourmalines that are sporadically produced in Maine. There are even a few nice bicolors in the parcel that run from a Minty Sea-Foam Green to a Pastel Pink.

This is Cabbing Rough and almost all of these are chunky nodules and/or crystal sections (Many of the stones in here are practically preformed because of the crystal structure of Tourmaline). These are all a nice size with the average stone weight running almost 7 CARATS!

These are HEAVILY included stones for the most part; however, some stones do have gemmy areas that can be faceted. This is not something we would recommend because of the weight loss but it is something you will have to decide on. We have severely discounted this material due to the clarity and don't really anticipate on getting more beyond a trickle here and there that accompanies Faceting Rough parcels. This material is ideal for Cabbing and Metaphysical usage. Don't miss the opportunity to purchase this spectacular lot!

COOL FACTS:
  1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

  2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
