This is being sold as Cabbing Rough; however, there is a piece or two in the parcel that can be faceted and at least 3 of the stones in the parcel have nicely terminated tips with one stone being doubly terminated.

This parcel would be ideal for someone that could take advantage of each of the three kinds of rough but is a give away considering the price regardless of your needs. Even for the Cabber the quality of the material is exceptional and it is sure to please (Many of the stones in here are practically preformed because of the crystal structure of Tourmaline).

These are all a nice size with the average weight being almost 9 CARATS! Please note that most of the stones in this lot will cut slightly included at best and the lot is being sold as CABBING Grade; however, there are a few stones that may support faceting. 1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material with rare exception and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
