Awesome PARTI-COLORED Mozambique Paraiba Tourmaline Rough. This was procured on our recent trip to Mozambique where we purchased it AT the mines. Most of what we had acquired on the trip that was TOP caliber sold within a week or so of arriving in New York or while we were still in Mozambique. This stone looks like a Parti-Colored Tourmaline having several colors splotched around inside! The piece is NOT FLAWLESS; however, it is very gemmy and would make a killer slice for a pendant! In two months at the mines and in Mozambique I only saw about 1/2 a dozen of these pieces that were ideally shaped for slices with the most striking color combinations for Paraiba Type Tourmaline.

Overall the stone is very clean; however, it does have some minor inclusions including tubular inclusions dotted around in the stone. Many of the inclusions can be oriented perpendicular to the table to mask them up well for the face up view of any finished stone. We only have a limited amount of this material and I'm pretty sure there isn't enough to go around for everyone so grab this before it is gone! Where on earth can you get Paraiba rough for $10.00 per carat?
