Awesome Lot of Bubblegum Pink to Cranberry Nigerian Tourmaline Faceting Rough. This material is running roughly 80% Top Facet Grade. Both of these stones do have some minor inclusions; however, both will yield large eye-clean or better gems with a little hard work. Please note that these stones are MUCH better than the above pictures indicate and have to be seen in daylight to be truly appreciated! These are NOT small pieces averaging in at almost 28 CARATS!

The larger stone has a veil that divides it into two clean sections with a roughly 20/80 split. Both of these stones should yield Eye-Clean or better finished gems with relative ease. The smaller of the two stones has one feather that is a bit unusual but divides the rough into 2 sections that will probably divide the stone down the middle for weight.

You may decide different on division for the smaller of the two stones but the above is our take on the piece for estimate purposes. We don't have any more of this caliber material so grab this before it is gone!!

Nigerian material, like most African material, has the brownish overtones, darker colors and lacks the vibrancy and life that Afghan (and some Namibian and Nigerian) Tourmaline is known for; however, many Nigerian and African stones can cut beautiful finished gems that rival Afghan material. From my experience I don't think quality is even questionable as I still haven't seen any Tourmaline Floor me like the Best Afghani material in its natural crystal form! Afghan Tourmaline can cost an arm and a leg and Nigerian material is a great affordable substitute for everyone to have fun faceting some Tourmaline.
