Spectacular lot of some of the best colored Afghan Tourmaline available running from an Insane Neon Bluish Green to a Neon Green. Almost every stone in here is a nice chunky crystal section (Many of the stones in here are practically preformed because of the crystal structure of Tourmaline). This is select rough and most of the stones in this lot will cut eye-clean or better with the bulk being able to facet 10x clean. A few stones do have some minor inclusions primarily located on the periphery of the rough; however, we are confident that most if not all will facet out or mask up well with a little planning and hard work!

This is the material that you see retailing for $8.00+ per carat! This is TOP faceting grade material having almost every bad stone picked out and there are quite a few killer pieces in here. We are confident you will get a spectacular finished gem from practically every stone in here with a little work. 1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
