Awesome lot of Neon Blue to Neon Green Afghan Tourmaline Faceting & Cabbing Rough. This is the legendary material that has made Afghani Tourmaline the most coveted Tourmaline in the world. The colors in this lot are just breath taking with a nice mix of mostly Neon Blues & Neon Greens. I would say that roughly 55%+ of this material is Medium to High Facet Grade white the remainder is mostly cabbing grade; however, there may be some additional faceting rough that can be cobbed and/or sawed out. These pieces are generally for accent stones as they average around 1 carat each and are most suitable for commercial cutting. This is another bargain not to be missed! I don't know where else you will find Afghan Tourmaline at such an affordable price!

1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color& quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
