Spectacular lot of some of the best colored Afghan Tourmaline available running from an Insane Neon Blue to a Neon Bluish Green. Almost every stone in here is a nice chunky crystal section (Many of the stones in here are practically preformed because of the crystal structure of Tourmaline). This lot is being sold as cabbing and semi-facet grade. Most of the stones in here are very clean having very fine inclusions that prevented them from making it into the $30+ Per Gram material. At the price we have on these they are a give away so don't miss this opportunity. There are a few stones in here that will cut eye-clean or better; however, the lot as a whole is very slightly to slightly included. We are confident you will get a spectacular finished gem from practically every stone in here with a little work. 1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
