DESCRIPTION:

Spectacular AWESOME lot of Select Electric Neon Blue/Green Afghan Tourmaline Top Facet Rough. A few of these have the most unbelievable Cornflower Blue Caps; however, they are concentrated on the tips and unless you can work miracles with orientation and design it looks like they will facet out of most stones. These are a SUPER lovely Neon Blue/Green color for the most part and almost all of these are crystal sections and/or nodules (Many of the stones in here are practically preformed because of the crystal structure of Tourmaline). These are all a nice size with the average being around 3.75+ carats. Please note that most of the stones in this lot will cut eye-clean to FLAWLESS with the bulk being able to facet 10x clean. There are quite a few larger stones in here that are extremely clean and we are confident this is a steal at our price!

This is the material that you see retailing for $15.00+ per carat! This is select TOP TOP faceting grade material having almost all the bad stones picked out and there are quite a few killer pieces in here. Practically every stone in the lot is capable of giving above average yield. This is one of our best deals and likely to go quick so don't pass this by!

COOL FACTS:
  1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

  2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
