DESCRIPTION:

Spectacular lot of Afghan Tourmaline running from a Minty Scope Bluish Green to a Pastel Pink. These are SUPER lovely Bicolors with almost every stone having a perfectly even split in the colors and almost all of these are chunky crystal sections (Many of the stones in here are practically preformed because of the crystal structure of Tourmaline). These are all a nice size with the average being around 6+ carats. Please note that most of the stones in this lot will cut eye-clean or better with the bulk being able to facet 10x clean with a little hard work.

This is the material that you see retailing for $10.00+ per carat! This is TOP faceting grade material having almost every bad stone picked out and there are quite a few killer pieces in here. We are confident you will get 1 to 2.5+ carat gems from practically every stone in here. Practically every stone in the lot is a nice and chunky crystal section capable of giving above average yield. This is one of our best deals and likely to go quick so don't pass this by!

COOL FACTS:
  1. Afghan Tourmaline pockets tend to be relatively small in size and as a result consistency in color & quality is a rarity! We have never seen Afghan Tourmaline sold by the kilo with like colored and quality material and lots are generally small in size seldom going over 1/2-1 kilo.

  2. All Afghan Tourmaline is exhumed from primary deposits and as a result mining costs are considerably higher due to dynamite expenditures and traveling expenditures to get to remote mining areas. It is also interesting to note that since all Afghan Tourmaline is from primary deposits most rough will usually have sharp crystal faces.
