Lovely Peachy Pink to Champaign Pakistani Topaz crystal Faceting rough. These are well formed crystals (Most fully terminated) and are a spectacular site to behold! This material ranges in size from about 4-18 grams with the bulk of the material in the 8-12 gram range.

We estimate that 65% of this is High to Top Grade Facet Rough while the remainder is a mix of Cabbing Rough and additional Facet Rough that will need to be sawed and/or cobbed out! Most stones do have some inclusions or veils and you will have to saw this material to extract the facet rough out! This is NOT small material with the average size running 53 CARATS!

A few years ago this material was readily available; however, over the last few years the price has dramatically increased and production is down. We don't have a regular supply of this high caliber material any longer so we would suggest grabbing the lot as quick as you can if you are interested in it!

1. There is a new treatment out in Pakistan that is turning Katlang Topaz into a lovely Tangerine color that rivals the best Imperial Topaz from Brazil. You can read the GIA write-up HERE. The material is being irradiated and is stable with little or no signs of treatment. I have seen the treated material being sold as natural; however, please note that Pakistan DOES NOT produce natural orange Topaz and everything that you see come by you of this color from Pakistan should be suspect. From my understanding it is only the Katlang material that is treating to this orange color and not the Gilgit/Skardu material.

2. A very interesting fact that has come by me is that the Katlang Topaz is being irradiated ON MATRIX. This will give the appearance of being a natural occurrence so please be aware!
