Awesome Lot of Neon Electric Purple to Bluish Purple Tanzanite Faceting and Cabbing Rough from Tanzania. This lot is being sold as CABBING Rough; however, roughly 25% of the material is Medium to High Facet Grade. Most of the cleaner stones will need to be cobbed or clipped as there is some waste in them. The lot as a whole is really high end cabbing rough but the few facetable stones in the parcel are easily worth the lot price in themselves.

Most stones in the parcel are well shaped with a few exceptions. The lot as a whole is pretty uniform in color. We don't know if the lot was heated though we are pretty sure that it was. Local prices for top grade Tanzanite in Tanzania are running $400-600+ per gram for anything 1 gram and over and that far exceeds the local prices IN the US on Cut stones making it uneconomical to purchase at this time for us. Due to the great price we got this at we are blowing this out at a mere $2.00 Per CARAT!!! At that price it would probably be impossible to purchase in Tanzania!
