Spectacular Lot of Hot Pink to Bluish Purple Spinel Rough from Tanzania. This material is silked and as a result any faceted stone from this parcel will be sleepy. These stones were specifically selected for this lot because of the silk present in them. The stones do not have excessive feathers or inclusions and most are clean with the exception of the silk which is lighter in some than in others. These would be ideal for Cabbing because of the silk and we are confident they would produce some exceptional cabs; however, we have seen similar material faceted in the past. Faceting is not something we would recommend most of these for but that is a decision you will have to make. The stones overall have the most amazing Pink and Pinkish Red hues that are guaranteed to leave you breathless. If these stones didn't have the silk present they would run from $30-$60 per gram pretty easy. We have discounted this material to move quick due to the silk! |
