This is a fairly NEW FIND of Scapolite coming from Badakshan, Afghanistan. Most of these stones are a bit small; however, there are quite a few chunky pieces in here as well that would be great for faceting, cabbing or an interesting jewelry project. Many of the stones in this lot are composed of Crystals with at least one terminated end and we are estimating that roughly 40% or so of the lot is good Facet Grade. Please note that the smaller stones are generally cleaner whereas the larger stones are probably more suitable for cabbing or carving. These are a very soft purple/lavender color unlike most Scapolite available and are really only produced in Northern Afghanistan and Southern Tajikistan. We got this lot at a steal and are passing the savings on to you!
