Super Honey Yellow to Peacock Purple Tanzanian Umba Sapphire Cabbing Rough Lot. Just look at those colors! Umba sapphires are some of the most saught after because of their electric colors and their color-change. Many of the stones in here do show a color-shift depending on the light source.

This lot is being sold as Cabbing rough and has been priced accordingly. The bulk of this is low to medium grade Cabbing rough and there is little you would be able to gleam out of here for faceting and we have priced the parcel accordingly. Cabbing rough of this caliber sells for $1.00-$2.00 IN TANZANIA at the moment and you can't beat our price anywhere. Most stones are nice and chunky capable of supporting above average weight returns and we are confident you will get some dazzling stones out of here. This is about all we have of this! COOL FACTS:

  1. During our recent trip to Tanzania we were informed that there was an outbreak of violence at the Umba Sapphire mines and that at least one person had been killed bringing most mining to a halt. I'm confident that mining has since been restarted; however, production is nowhere near what it once was and prices continue to escalate.
