Super Lot of Vivid Blood Ruby Red to Purplish Red Ruby Faceting Rough from Songea, Tanzania. OK folks, this is some lovely material! We have seen similar material selling all around for $40+ per carat! This material realistically doesn't come close to that in cost and we can therefore provide it at a much better price. Please note that this material really is very limited and hard to get a hold of. We get a handful of stones like this for every kilo or so of Sapphire we receive. We honestly believe this can be classified as Ruby because of the color of the rough; however, some stones in here may more appropriately be called Sapphire because of the Purplish Color and we will therefore leave the final decision to you. The thing that makes it lose its Red Body color is the rough tends to have a mildly strong Dichroism and therefore you have an axis that is more Purplish while another is more on the Red end.

This material looks to be roughly 90% Top Facet Grade and I'm pretty sure everything in here should cut eye-clean or better. This is sure to please and worth picking up quick for the price! Take Care and Good Luck!
