ULTRA RARE Pale to Pastel Yellow Richterite Faceting Rough from Badakshan, Afghanistan. The lot as a whole contains VERY clean material like we have NEVER seen before for the species. The lot is composed of slender crystals and crystal sections with excellent exterior luster (many with terminated tips). There is NO ONE else we know selling this material in the rough and we have seen crystals that are only slightly bigger and included selling for several hundred to several thousand dollars a piece!

From a run through the material it is clearly evident that it is going to be EXTREMELY difficult to cut because of multiple cleavage planes. Many stones look very clean; however, most do have inclusions and cleaving visible that will need to be worked around. We are confident that 50%+ of the stones in this lot will cut eye-clean to very slightly included with a little hard work but you have to be extremely talented from what it looks like to be able to handle the challenge of faceting this material.
