This is another NEW FIND of a Golden almost Honey Yellow stone coming from Afghanistan! We unfortunately don't have the slightest clue as to what it is. Much of the rough looks to be partially terminated crystals. The crystals initially give the appearance of being some kind of Garnet; however, we don't believe that to be the case. Some of the striations we see on the stones look like it could be Zircon but the crystal structure is odd. Almost all the stones look to be roughly the same color intensity. This material really isn't clean and it is cabbing rough for the most part and/or crystal rough. This is just another odd lot we picked up for the collectors. We haven't seen it before and don't think we will again. We haven't seen anyone else in the local market with this stone and don't know how large the find was and therefore, this may be the last time you see this!
