Lovely lot of bright Pale Blue to Peachy Pink Morganite from Afghanistan. This is a great lot for cabbing, carving and faceting! I would say that roughly 20% of this lot is some type of facet grade; however, you will have to cob and saw this material up to get it all and in some stones it isn't worth it because of size. This lot is ideal for a carver due to the size and overall quality of the rough. This is a great deal and some of the colors in this material are really lovely. These are not small pieces with the average weight being over 200 carats and many stones in here have very gemmy areas while others contain a fine sheen. This is the only parcel of this material we have in this size and it truly is MUCH better than the pictures above indicate! This is priced to move so don't pass this opportunity by!!

1. In Afghanistan Morganite is almost always classified by crystal structure and not so much by color. This is why you will occasionally see some light Aqua colored stones in Afghan Morganite lots.

2. There is only a limited amount of Afghan Morganite produced every year and annual production has been steadily decreasing.
