Awesome lot of NATURAL Pale Peachy Pink to Pastel Pink Morganite Faceting Rough from Afghanistan.  I would say most of this material is a cross that lies somewhere between Pale and Pastel Peachy Pink. There are a few pieces in here that are Goshenite; however, the lot as a whole is distinctly Peachy Pink. We would say that roughly 75%+ of this material is High Facet Grade while the remainder is a cross between Facet and Cab Grade.

The bulk of this material should support eye-clean to very slightly included finished gems with a little hard work. A few of the larger stones will need to be sawed and/or cobbed to yield the cleanest stones possible as the larger stones do have minor veiling and inclusions that will need to be worked around. Please note that these are not small pieces and the average weight here is 23 carats!! This is the only lot of Morganite we presently have available! Afghan Morganite is a rare find these days and it is almost always very pale. Take a look around the net and you will see how unbelievable our price on this material really is! We are confident that you will get some killer stones out of this lot with little effort.

1. In Afghanistan Morganite is almost always classified by crystal structure and not so much by color. This is why you will occasionally see some light Aqua colored stones in Afghan Morganite lots.

2. There is only a limited amount of Afghan Morganite produced every year and annual production has been steadily decreasing.
