Lovely lot of bright medium Pink and Peachy Pink Morganite  from Afghanistan. This is a great lot for cabbing, carving and faceting! I would say that roughly 20-30% of this lot is some type of facet grade; however, you will have to cob and saw this material up to get it all and in some stones it isn't worth it because of size. This is why I'm more inclined to estimate that roughly 20%+ is High facet grade. This is a great deal and some of the colors in this material are really lovely. These are not small pieces with the average weight being over 35 carats and many stones in here have very gemmy areas while others contain a fine sheen. The fine sheened stones are excellent for cabbing and may even produce some effects as a byproduct of cutting though this looks unlikely. This is great material to practice those new designs or for HIGH end cabbing. I only have a limited amount of this material and it is produced in VERY limited amounts in Afghanistan! This lot really is MUCH better than the pictures above indicate and it is not to be missed! This is priced to move so don't pass this opportunity by!!

1. In Afghanistan Morganite is almost always classified by crystal structure and not so much by color. This is why you will occasionally see some light Aqua colored stones in Afghan Morganite lots.

2. There is only a limited amount of Afghan Morganite produced every year and annual production has been steadily decreasing.
