DESCRIPTION:

Super Medium Dark Pinkish to Pastel Pink Afghani Kunzite FULLY Etched Crystal Faceting Rough. First of all, this Crystal is much better than the above pictures indicate and it really has to be seen to be fully appreciated (we haven't cleaned the exterior either). This piece is fully etched and terminated all around with the most INSANE luster! This is from a new find in Kantiwow and was originally a lovely deep Aqua Blue; however, we had to fade it to sunlight so as not to deal with any changes after sale. Kunzite naturally comes out of the ground in some awesome Bluish colors but fades to a dominant Pinkish or Purplish color after exposure to sunlight! This is a NATURAL effect and this material has NOT been treated in ANY way! Overall this crystal is EXTREMELY clean and I think about 60% of this is Top Facet Grade while the remainder is some type of Facet Grade. This has good value as a Gem Crystal Specimen because of the beautiful etched pattern and would probably sell at $500-$600 a as such. The tip of this looks almost like a mountain landscape!

I personally wouldn't facet this but that is a choice you will have to decide on. This is not a small piece weighing in at almost 600 CARATS! In addition, since this is a crystal it is well shaped for high yield! We have discounted this so as to make it affordable to any crystal collector that may want to pick it

 up!

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT KUNZITE IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART! If you have not dealt with Kunzite before I would not recommend picking this up. We are confident there are some lovely LARGE gems just waiting to come out of this! Don't miss your opportunity to pick this up as we will not stock much of this material because of current market prices.

COOL FACTS:
  1. Afghan Kunzite is in EXTREMELY high demand and the price of this material is jumping exponentially. What I paid for 27 Kilos a few years ago is less than what ONE kilo of similar material costs today. The greatest demand for this material lies in low grade cabbing or tumbling rough and it is running at about $50-$100.00 per kilo in PAKISTAN.
