Super Electric Pinkish Purple Afghani Kunzite Select Faceting Rough. This is a killer piece of Kunzite with an unusually dark color for the size. This is premium rough that is rarely available as rough. We were lucky to pick up this piece on our last trip to Pakistan and it is the only piece we secured of this color. There are some minor inclusions in the rough that are almost totally confined towards the periphery or in close proximity to it. I'm confident with a little planning and hard work you will take out a huge Eye-clean or better finished stone from here.

Ideally, I would suggest 2 stones as Kunzite is generally oriented down the C Axis (with RARE Exception - only saw 1 stone so far cut with the AB Axis as the table in 15 years). Who knows, with a little planning you may even take out a matched pair out of this piece! It doesn't get any better than this for color folks so don't miss out! I haven't seen this depth of color in this size in close to a decade!

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT KUNZITE IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART! If you have not dealt with Kunzite before I would not recommend picking this lot up. The color on these stones is not the darkest but it is a super value for the price, size and clarity. Don't miss your opportunity to pick this up as we will not stock much of this material because of current market prices.

1. Afghan Kunzite is in EXTREMELY high demand and the price of this material is jumping exponentially. What I paid for 27 Kilos a few years ago is less than what ONE kilo of similar material costs today. The greatest demand for this material lies in low grade cabbing or tumbling rough and it is running at about $50-$100.00 per kilo in PAKISTAN.
