AWESOME ULTRA RARE NEW FIND of Hiddenite from Kunar, Afghanistan! OK Folks, this material has to be seen to be fully appreciated. This parcel was put together based on color and the parcel is largely composed of the better Chrome Green colored material from the locality with the exception of one Bi-color thrown in! The lot as a whole is running roughly 85%+ High to Top Facet Grade with most stones capable of cutting Eye-Clean or better with a little hard work! I don't really think it will take more than 1-2 cut stones to pay for this parcel! You can read our write-up for this material in the Fall 2007 issue of GIA's Gems & Gemology. Yes, this material is colored by both Chromium and Vanadium! NO! It does not fade upon exposure to light and the color is both natural and permanent. We introduced this material into the market as rough a bit over a year ago and have only been wholesaling this material directly to a few people until now! We ARE the source for this material and have access to the lion's share of production for all those interested in bulk purchasing. Production at this mine is VERY limited largely due to the lack of a significant demand for the material as of yet. If you do not have experience cutting this material we would STRONGLY suggest you familiarize yourself with such BEFORE placing an order for this parcel. The bulk of production is limited to clean areas that are 1 gram and under; however, we have seen a few very large exceptional stones. The better stones were from the initial discovery and most of the material since has not been of that caliber. We are blowing this out at an INSANE $5.00 PER CARAT and I don't know how you can't make money on this at that price! Were this North Carolina material it would probably cost 10 times the price! |
