Awesome Mandarin to Reddish Orange "Spessartite Garnet" TOP Faceting Rough from Tanzania! This material was sold to us as Spessartite; however, we have NOT tested it and therefore can not guarantee what it is! All we do know is that the color and clarity on this material is EXCEPTIONAL!

The color runs from a lovely fiery Tangerine with Red Flashes to a Mandarin Orange! We estimate that roughly 95% of the lot is Top Facet Grade and capable to cutting eye-clean or better with relative ease. We are confident this is Garnet; however, there is a possibility that there may be at least a few Clinohumites peppered inside. Whatever the case, this material is NOT easy to come by and there are some lovely stones in here.

The clarity on this material is MUCH better than your TYPICAL Nigerian and Namibian Mandarin Garnet and is guaranteed to please! Don't miss your chance on picking up this lot as we DON'T HAVE MUCH TO GO AROUND!!

1. Nigerian and Namibian Mandarin Garnet deposits are fast being depleted with most of the earlier larger material gone already. Initial finds were alluvial in nature and as those sources are depleted more work will be required to unearth these treasures at the primary deposits. This in the end will boil down to higher prices and sporadic production.
