This is a super lot of a fairly NEW FIND of Hessonite Garnet coming from Afghanistan. The color of this material is just a phenomenal Mandarin Orange to a fiery Flame Pure Orange with little or no Red overtones! Please be aware that this rough may be a mixture of Spessartite and/or Hessonite (Possibly other Garnets as well) which are generally included species of Garnet. It is extremely difficult to acquire eye-clean to flawless rough in either species. This lot represents some of the BEST material we have seen to date! These are not chunky pieces as the deposits for this material generally produce stones that are a bit thin similar to some of the Almandine Garnet deposits in East Africa. Most of this material WILL cut eye-clean to very slightly included stones. This is all SELECT rough and the stones were selected for clarity. This lot is running roughly 85%+ Top Facet Grade and there are some KILLER stones in here. Don't miss your chance on picking up this lot as this quality is a RARITY!
