Magnificent Lot of bright Pinkish Red to Orangey Red Malaya & Almandine Garnet Faceting Rough from Tanzania. Almost every stone in here is a well shaped, chunky, water-worn pebble or Crystal Section capable of giving above average yield. Most stones are nice and vibrant and will undoubtedly produce spectacular finished gems.

Unlike most of the newer Malaya Garnet being produced this material is not excessively dark or brown. Please note that this material was sold to us as Malaya; however, roughly 1/2 the lot looks similar to what we regularly purchase as Red Garnet and may be Almandine Garnet. It is too cost prohibitive to test and evaluate each stone. This material is running roughly 75%+ High to Top Facet Grade. We don't have a steady stock of this and don't anticipate putting up more than a few lots in the future so grab this before it is gone.
