Magnificent Lot of bright Pinkish Red to Orangey Red Malaya Garnet Faceting Rough from Tanzania. This is almost all SELECT material with the bulk of the lot capable of cutting Eye-clean or better finished stones. Almost every stone in here is a well shaped, chunky, water-worn pebble capable of giving above average yield and the average stone weight is running roughly 15 CARATS! Most stones are nice and vibrant and will undoubtedly produce spectacular finished gems. Unlike most of the newer Malaya Garnet being produced this material is not excessively dark or brown. There may be a couple of Rhodolite and Almandine Garnets in this parcel but that is pure speculation. It is too cost prohibitive to test and evaluate each stone. This material is running roughly 85%+ High to Top Facet Grade. We don't have a steady stock of this so grab this before it is gone. |
