Lot of JUMBO Orangey Red Malaya Garnet Faceting and Cabbing Rough from Tanzania. Almost every stone in here is a well shaped, chunky, water-worn pebble capable of giving above average yield. Overall the material is a bit dark but we are confident that the material will brighten up well once cut. The parcel is running roughly 50% Good Medium to High Facet Grade while the remainder is mostly Cabbing Grade; however, there may be some additional Faceting Rough potential for an experienced cobber.

We have discounted this parcel very significantly to reflect the quality and color and for the price it is well worth picking up without thinking about it. Larger Malaya Garnet use to be plentiful in the past but it is getting very difficult to get a hold of new production material. There may be a couple of Rhodolite and Almandine Garnets in this parcel but that is pure speculation. It is too cost prohibitive to test and evaluate each stone. We don't have a steady stock of this and don't anticipate putting up more than another lot or two in the future so grab this before it is gone.
