Vibrant Rose Red to Tangerine Tanzanian Songea Garnet Faceting Rough Lot. This is some of the most Vibrant Garnet we have ever seen. The color on most of these stones is almost electric and the lot glows Red under a Chelsea Filter. We unfortunately don't know the exact species of Garnet this is but I'm pretty sure it is a Spessartite Almandine mix from our experience testing similar material from the Country. This material overall is unfortunately small and only ideally suitable for commercial cutting as a result; however, it will undoubtedly produce some profound finished gemstones! We don't' have too much of this and at this price it is worth adding to the collection. |
