Awesome lot of Color-Change Garnet Faceting Rough from Tanzania. Under daylight this material runs from a Peach to a Purplish Pinkish Red. Overall this material is running roughly 90%+ Top Facet Grade and we are confident that most stones in the parcel will produce eye-clean or better finished gems with relative ease. This material is alluvial and therefore yield on the bulk of these should be above average. The stones are a bit on the small size averaging around 3/4 of a carat; however, Color-Changers are rarely found in large sizes.

Most of these change to Purplish Red or Brownish Yellow under fluorescent light. I don't have too much experience on judging the color-change on Tanzanian rough unless the color-change is extremely prominent (Blue to Red) and therefore I would suggest you use our color-change colors as just a ballpark. The bulk of the stones in this parcel are Garnet; however, there are a few other stones in here and some looked like they didn't change color.
