Awesome Lot of mostly LARGE SELECT Top Nigerian Malaya Garnet Facet Rough running from an Orangey Red to a Crimson Reddish Orange. This is 90%+ Top quality material with almost every stone capable of producing eye-clean or better with ease. This material is not small with the average stone being almost 11.5 carats! We are liquidating this lot to make room for a very large shipment coming in from Pakistan. Overall the material is a bit dark but should cut beautiful stones in the 3 carat and under range. This lot was sent to us as a sample for reviewing and we are just moving it out the door to the lucky one who picks it up. The lot is priced to sell so don't miss out.

1. Nigerian and Namibian Mandarin Garnet deposits are fast being depleted with most of the earlier larger material gone already. Initial finds were alluvial in nature and as those sources are depleted more work will be required to unearth these treasures at the primary deposits. This in the end will boil down to higher prices and sporadic production.
