New Find of Spectacular Electric Olive Green Diopside Crystal Rough from Badakshan, Afghanistan. This material has an extremely unusual color that very closely resembles Diopside marketed as Tashmarine from Western China. The lot is running roughly 60%+ High to Top Facet Grade and the bulk of the parcel is composed of well formed crystals terminated at least at one end. Much of the material will need to be sawed and/or cobbed to extract all the Facet Rough.

We truly would like to see some of these crystals preserved; however, we know the material is worth far more as gem rough. There is not a lot of this material produced in Afghanistan and we were lucky to get our hands on this parcel. This is great for crystal collectors or those wanting a faceted Diopside from an unusual location.

This is the ONLY Parcel of this material we have left! We have HEAVILY discounted the parcel to move quick! We don't anticipate on getting much more of this so advise on purchasing it quick before someone beats you to it. For $1.20 Per Carat there is no way you can lose!

1. There is a very limited amount of Facet Grade Diopside being produced in Afghanistan & Pakistan. There are a few locations in that produce Diopside in both countries though most is either too dark or seldom clean and a decent size; however, one can on occasion see an odd lot in the market that is deserving of being called Facet Grade.
