1. We have been informed that there is a significant deposit of this in Afghanistan; however, it has not been worked in a very very long time! 17 Years from what we were told. There were several parcels of this material with the original seller who is a relative of our partner in Pakistan. We purchased all that he had from old stock with the exception of 1 cut stone he had according to him. He encouraged us to "sponsor" a new digging effort at the mines that we have been reluctant to accept as of thus far because of limited marketability of this material considering the overall quality. The material is RARELY if EVER clean! Cleaner material SMALL and is something to be expected for the species.
