Awesome HUGE Olive Green to Tashmarine Green colored Apatite Faceting Rough from Brazil. This material is exceptionally large averaging around 35 CARATS! These are well shaped chunky crystal sections for the most part and the lot as a whole is extremely clean. There is some fine sharp Chatoyancy present in the stones and proper orientation will produce Cat's Eye finished gems; however, I think the real value in this material lies in the person that can treat it. We haven't treated this material or any Apatite in the past; however, the Madagascar Apatite is generally similar in color to this material prior to treatment. After heating Madagascar Green Apatite it turns a wonderful Paraiba Blue color. Any way you look at it this material is a steal at our current price and it is worth picking up without much thought. |
