Awesome fairly new discovery of Cherry to Orangey Red Almandine Spessartite Garnet coming from Kunar, Afghanistan. You can review the write up on this material in GIA's Gems & Gemology HERE! This is a nice lot of mostly Cherry to Crimson Red Garnet Oval Gemstones! The gems are not cut the greatest and are a bit dark; however, at $1.00 Per Carat we don't cover cutting costs on this parcel! This material was only faceted for testing purposes and we don't have any more of this material available. Please note that it is VERY VERY difficult to get this material and there is only a VERY limited amount produced annually with high grade rough amounting to a few kilos at most but usually well under 1 kilo.
